My love of clay has been a passion for as long as I can remember. I first discovered the joy of working with clay at school and instantly knew it was my thing. The cool, damp feel of clay between my fingers, the freedom to shape it into almost anything, and the magic of transforming it through firing into a lasting piece of pottery have fascinated me ever since.
Hobbs Ceramics was born from this passion in 2015, bringing together my love of making functional, beautiful pottery and my appreciation for simple, timeless design.
My handmade ceramics have evolved into a clean, minimalist and elegant style, with a particular focus on custom coffee mugs in sizes ranging from 150ml to 500ml. Alongside my mugs, I create a selection of handmade pottery and thoughtful ceramic gifts, designed to be enjoyed every day.
Today, I'm also sharing my passion for clay through private pottery lessons and beginner-friendly pottery classes at my studio in Bicester, Oxfordshire. Whether you're interested in trying the pottery wheel for the first time, learning the basics of wheel throwing, or developing your pottery skills, my aim is to provide a relaxed, personal introduction to the rewarding process of making pottery.
Whether you're shopping for handmade ceramics, looking for a unique gift, or hoping to discover pottery for yourself, I hope Hobbs Ceramics inspires you to enjoy the beauty of handmade objects and the creativity of working with clay.
I regularly update my shop with new work, so if you can't quite find what you're looking for, please check back soon or get in touch about a specific piece or request.
Thank you for supporting small!
